Chairing a session on energy-limited resources at INFORMS 2026
Published:
I am chairing a session at the 2026 INFORMS Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
SC57 — Modeling and Market Integration of Energy-Limited Resources ENRE: Electricity cluster Sunday, November 1, 1:15–2:30 PM Moscone South-2 (Hall D, Exhibit Level)
The session covers how energy-limited resources, primarily storage and flexible demand, should be modeled and integrated into electricity markets. Unlike conventional generators, these resources have no well-defined marginal cost in a given hour, which complicates both market clearing and long-run planning. We will have a mix of speakers from industry and academia.
I will also be presenting. If you work on storage, flexible demand, or resource adequacy you may find the session interesting!
